The Ancient Gods is the first story DLC for Doom Eternal
Bethesda has unveiled the trailer for the first Doom Eternal DLC. The full announcement of The Ancient Gods Part 1, because that is the subtitle of the add-on, will take place at gamescom.
The id Software studio is currently working on a story expansion for Doom Eternal, from which we could see the first screenshots in May. Now a half-minute teaser with scenes straight from the game is available. Journalist Geoff Keighley revealed on his Twitter channel that Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods will be more widely presented on the opening day of gamescom, namely on August 27 at 2:00 CET. As indicated by Part 1 in the DLC name, it will be divided into at least two parts.
Doom Eternal was released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 20, 2020 and received very warm opinions. Good reviews also translated into satisfactory sales results for Bethesda, the publisher of the game.
