The Lord of the Rings finally comes to Minecraft 1.15.2

Are you fans of Minecraft or Lord of the Rings? Or maybe both? We have great news for you!

With Steve through Middle-earth Minecraft is a popular sandbox that has been constantly developed since 2009. For many years, modders have also been helping to develop the game. The Lord of the Rings Minecraft Mod is a fan initiative that has been developing cubic Middle-earth since 2013. On August 1 this year, Snapshot 1.6 came out, which works with Minecraft 1.15.2. This is a 7 snapshot that allows you to check how the work on transferring the mod to the new version of Minecraft is progressing. So far, experiences like those of Bilbo and Frodo were reserved for Minecraft on 1.7.10. Curious what a mod full of hobbits looks like?

How to start having fun? The Lord of the Rings finally in version 1.15.2 The loading screen takes us to Middle-earth We get to Middle-earth in two ways. We can immediately start the game in it by setting it when creating a new game, or transfer to it from the standard game world. The latter option requires us to create a golden ring and throw it into the lava. A portal will appear that will take you to the Shire. The game world The world added by the mod can be admired in all its glory thanks to the map showing the lands described by Tolkien. The authors of the modification recreated both the well-known locations and the lands that the books only mention. Lands, or rather biomes, have their own structures (including villages and forts - however, they appear less often than e.g. taverns and houses), as well as fauna and flora. Architecture also depends on the region, different biomes use different building materials, as well as interior design. Several different lanterns, chandeliers and even beds are in fashion. In Middle-earth, we will also meet a variety of races, including several varieties of elves, orcs and dwarves. Each faction has several different units, e.g. farmers, warriors, archers. They also have unique sets of armor and weapons, including armor for horses. However, players do not live by warriors alone. The creators offer us the opportunity to rest in taverns, with a variety of meals and drinks, which depend on the biome in which we appear.

The creators of the mod made sure that, in addition to the experience straight from the Lord of the Rings movies, there is also "Minecraft". There are many new deposits in fashion that can be excavated and converted into armor. Of course, there is also a very rare mithril, from which we can make the best armor available in the fashion, as well as weapons. However, to smelt the ore, you will need a dwarf furnace, because only stocky and bearded people know the techniques of working with mithril. Mechanics In addition to the overwhelming amount of items, the mod adds some interesting mechanics to the gameplay. As we travel through a fairly large world, once every half an hour we have the right to fast travel to one of the previously visited points on the map. This does not apply to the creative mode - there we can teleport any number of times, to any place without a time limit. The mod also adds an influence system. Each faction has an indicator that tells us how popular or not we are among its representatives. Dialogues spoken by members of the faction depend on the level of the indicator, whether they will attack us, whether they will trade with us, and whether they will join our journey. Yes, the LOTR modification allows us to hire warriors from a friendly faction and set off on further adventures with them. But how do you get faction sympathy points? For example, you can get rid of a few representatives of the faction hostile to our future friends or help in a marriage by handing two rings to the NPCs you meet. Moreover, the factions are connected with each other. By helping a given race, we will also increase our influence with their allies. Likewise, when our relationships deteriorate.

A good opportunity to earn faction points is to defeat the invasion. Invasions are raids by enemy units that happen spontaneously in the game and are announced by characteristic sound effects and text messages. Sometimes it happens that a raid will be carried out by several different factions at the same time. Invasions is not the only event in which our character may suffer. In more wild regions, we can come across bandits who will rob us of our items. The behavior of bandits deserves special attention. The creators of the game suggest a simple way to protect larger amounts of goods that we transport with us, eg instead of hiding all silver coins in pouches, leave a few "loose" in the inventory. This way, the bandit will be interested in them first, and not in the savings from several hours of play. There is also a wizard dressed in gray in the game. Gandalf will arrive shortly after we make our first steps in Middle-earth. The Gray Wanderer will commission us to complete quests that serve as a kind of tutorial.

Gollum The Lord of the Rings finally in version 1.15.2 There was also the iconic Gollum. This is a mob that gags only once and shows up around the Misty Mountains. You can tame him with a fish and entrust him with several items (Gollum has 27 inventory slots). From the moment he is tamed, Gollum will follow his new "master". For taming it, you will receive the achievement "The Taming of Sméagol". Over time, apart from Gollum and Gandalf, other characters will also appear in the mod. Already in the early beta versions work was underway to add Sauron, but unfortunately his design was canceled. However, it is to come back with the addition of larger quests to the game. Have you ever wanted to jump into the hobbit world? If so, here you can download any version of the mod. Just be careful! This mod draws you better than many licensed games in this universe.
