First reviews of Horizon Zero Dawn for PC
The first reviews of the long-awaited PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn, which will go digital this Friday, are appearing on the web. Despite several years since its premiere on PlayStation 4, the production port received very high marks from critics.
The PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn will debut in digital distribution on August 7 (Epic Games Store, Steam). The game will be available with The Frozen Wilds expansion. The port, which was announced by Guerrilla Games last year, has been eagerly awaited by PC players for many months, thanks to which it was on the Steam bestseller list in July. Players expect much better performance and graphics compared to PlayStation 4, on which Horizon Zero Dawn appeared in 2017. If the first reviews are to be believed, their hopes were fulfilled. On Metacritic, the port currently has an average rating of 87 points.
Reviewers emphasize the high quality of conversion and the extremely solid work that the developers put into adapting the production to work with PCs. The game offers extensive configuration options, allowing not only to adjust the level of detail or disable additional graphic effects, but also freely set the maximum number of displayed frames per second. Also noteworthy is full support for the mouse and keyboard control model. Critics praise the good optimization of production. They also emphasize that at the highest settings, the title leaves its console version far behind, thanks to new details of the environment, such as dynamic and animated vegetation, and support for ultrawide monitors.
