Marvel's Avengers - heroes disguise and new information about the game
Crystal Dynamics shared the details of the upcoming Marvel's Avengers game. The studio told about the game modes, mechanics and skills via Reddit.
We will see Iron Man without the suit only a few times throughout the game. The premiere of Marvel's Avengers is fast approaching, so the developers decided to make the fans wait for production more pleasant. The studio organized AMA on Reddit - a thread where you could ask developers questions about the upcoming game. We learned from it, among others details on game modes, offline fun and co-op modes. The creators told a little about two game modes - War Zone (cooperative challenges in which we will be able to perform special missions) and Drop Zone (short, 10-minute games with one specific goal). War Zone will be designed for 15-30 minutes of fun, depending on the degree of challenge. Different war zones will offer more or less variety and randomness, and there will also be no mini-map in this mode. In addition, both modes will be divided into 4 levels of difficulty, the more difficult of which will bring better rewards.
The game will offer the possibility to play both online and offline, but some variants will be available only to players playing in cooperation online. The developers promise weekly and monthly updates, and seasonal events, such as Halloween, will also appear. Rallies that will take up to 2 hours will also be in production; unfortunately, they will not be added to the premiere, and only in later patches. The game in cooperation mode scales missions to the lowest level in the team, but the equipment that drops is adjusted to the level of our character. Heroes will be able to develop in one of the three skill trees - some will increase our mobility, and others will improve melee combat. There will also be an option to purchase various types of equipment from special suppliers. There will also be an option to dress up our superheroes in the game (except for certain moments in the story where "official" attire is required). The creators promise that the skills and equipment will allow the creation of specific protagonists' specializations, such as Iron Man specializing in hand-to-hand combat.
The creators raised the issue of the artificial intelligence of our allies, which in the game is supposed to behave situational, both in close combat and at a distance. For example, the Hulk will fight at a distance at first, but when our green-skinned friend approaches the opponents, he will start to fight in hand-to-hand combat. Al will also try to revive us when we die on the battlefield. You can see the full list of details disclosed by the developers here. The game is scheduled for release on September 4, 2020 and will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Later, the production will also be released on new generation consoles, i.e. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
