"The most powerful console on the market." High computing power and an Xbox Game Pass subscription with premiere titles are the main advantages of Microsoft, not to miss a generation this time.

Here is a set of all information about the Xbox Series X. We all keep our fingers crossed for the planned appearance of the next generation of consoles in the 2020 holiday season, when it is to debut, among others. another hardware from Microsoft - Xbox Series X. Just at the beginning of May, the giant from Redmond confirmed that it is still planning a premiere on this date. Will it be "the most powerful console on the market", as the manufacturer suggests? We will hopefully find out about it in a few months. For now, we have gathered for you all the information available about the new "brick" and the games planned as starting titles.
EVERYTHING WE KNOW ABOUT XBOX SERIES X Xbox Series X - this is the official name of the model presented so far, and the new console itself is simply ... Xbox.

In the middle there will be an octa-core Zen 2 processor from AMD (3.8 GHz), a graphics card from the same manufacturer based on RDNA 2 architecture with ray tracing support and 16 gigabytes of GDDR6 RAM.
The computing power of the graphics card will be 12 teraflops.
The equipment is to display the image in 4K resolution and constant 60 frames per second. The console will be equipped with a fast 1 TB SDD disk.
Optionally, the capacity will be expandable with a dedicated Seagate Xbox Series X Storage Expansion Card (1TB), and a 2TB version at a later date. The set will also include a 4K UHD Blu-ray drive, support for USB 3.2 and HDMI 2.1 standards.
Xbox Series X will offer the Quick Resume option - a quick return to the titles tested a moment earlier, which remain in a kind of pause mode. Some games will use the Smart Delivery option - automaticĄž installation of the appropriate version of the game for a given hardware, optimized e.g. for the Xbox Series X or Xbox One, depending on the console on which you install it.
Backward compatibility will cover all previous generations of the Xbox, and many titles are expected to operate with more frames and improvements such as HDR mode.
The new controller will be a slightly improved version of the Xbox One, a bit smaller and with a "Share" button.
Fifteen Xbox Game Studios development teams are working on games for new equipment.
The console will use a large library of the Xbox Game Pass service, which will also include new launch titles.

Appearance and dimensions During the official presentation at the Game Awards 2019, Microsoft showed the appearance of the new Xbox Series X's housing. The designers focused on exceptional minimalism, creating an almost uniform black cuboid. The smooth body is cut only by the slot of the Blu-ray drive, the console is also equipped with an "Eject" button and vents at the top. They are intended to cover fans that make noise only at the level of a whisper. Additional heat dissipation is at the rear, along with a set of ports.

The dimensions disclosed are: 301 mm (height) x 151 mm x 151 mm (width of the sides). Such dimensions are to ensure even better air circulation, and thus - quieter operation. For comparison, we will say that the Xbox One S measures 63.5 mm x 294.6 mm x 228.6 mm.

"The most powerful console on the market." High computing power and an Xbox Game Pass subscription with premiere titles are the main advantages of Microsoft, so as not to sleep a generation this time. Here is a set of all information about the Xbox Series X.

On March 16, the technical specification of the Xbox Series X console was revealed. Three characteristics were taken into account in the design: power, speed and compatibility. The main components will be provided by AMD, delivering an octa-core Zen 2 processor and a graphics chip based on the RDNA 2 architecture. The new Xbox will support DirectX Raytracing hardware to simulate realistic lighting and sound effects in real time. This set is to allow displaying the image at constant 60 frames per second in 4K resolution, the Microsoft team is also working on the possibility of implementing 120 frames for selected network titles. Here are the full specs.

Xbox Series X release date So far, the exact release date has not been disclosed, but the official announcement says "2020 holidays", which probably means around November, so that the console can become a dream Christmas gift and hit the market during the biggest purchases. However, the current situation related to the COVID-19 pandemic calls into question compliance with this deadline. The head of marketing for Xbox games - Jerret West - confirmed in early May that Microsoft is still planning a premiere by the end of this year. Earlier, Phil Spencer (head of the Xbox brand) mentioned that the company is closely watching what is happening in factories and logistics facilities, with the safety of employees in mind above all. So, in general, the holiday date is still planned, although it cannot be taken for granted.

The new Xbox Series X pad has undergone a slight evolution compared to the previous Xbox One controller. The device is minimally smaller to be able to fit even better in almost any hand size. It has a USB-C port and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) standard. It will be compatible with Windows 10, Xbox One, as well as iOS and Android mobile devices.

The developers focused on the maximum reduction of input lag by introducing the Dynamic Latency Input technology. It is supposed to better pair the frames on the screen with the information sent by the controller. The triggers, bumpers and the D-pad have been slightly redesigned, their texture has been changed, and the feeling during pressing is to be more predictable and natural. The set also includes the "Share" button known from Sony for quick sharing of content, such as screenshots.

The better speed of the new Xbox is to be provided not only by teraflops and frames per second, but also by other key components. One of them is an SDD with a capacity of one terabyte, which will not only take care of faster loading of games, but also, thanks to the new Xbox Velocity architecture, will enable continuous access to 100 GB of data. The speed in the new Xbox also means reducing the so-called input lag, i.e. delays between the controller and the character controlled on the screen. The Auto Low Latency Mode and Variable Refresh Rate technologies along with the HDMI 2.1 standard will help in this.

Additional space for installed games will be secured by a special slot on the back of the case for a dedicated expansion card with a fast 1 TB SDD disk, developed by Seagate. The whole thing is called the Xbox Series X Storage Expansion Card. Such a card will not occupy the USB port and will provide the same speed as the integrated disk. The manufacturer plans to cover the drives with a three-year warranty. Unfortunately, it is still not known what their price will be and whether the memory expansion will be available on the console's release date. It is also worth mentioning that it is still possible to use external drives in the USB 3.2 standard, but Microsoft recommends such a solution only for games from previous generations.
